A Message from Buttaz&Wax

Buttaz&Wax started in my kitchen, where I spent hours on my feet, blending rich butters and oils, turning simple ingredients into something luxurious. But the heart of this journey runs deeper it’s rooted in tradition, in the lessons passed down through generations.

As a child, I watched my great-grandmother crush castor nuts by hand, extracting their thick, nourishing oil. She used it to care for her hair, and without realizing it, she was passing down more than a skill she was teaching me the power of nature, patience, and the beauty of handcrafted care. Those memories stayed with me, even as life moved forward.

Years later, when my daughter had an allergic reaction to a store bought body butter, I found myself returning to that wisdom. Like any mother, I went into research mode, carefully selecting ingredients and formulating something that would work for her sensitive skin. That first jar of body butter didn’t just heal her skin it reignited something in me.

What started as a single handmade remedy has now grown into a full business with products  created care, intention, and love. Over the years, Buttaz&Wax has slowly grown, and while the journey hasn’t always been easy, it has been deeply fulfilling.
